- Two layers of data transfer security: All data, including patient and billing records are encrypted at 448 bit before they leave your computers and are never accessible without your encryption key. In addition, data transfers over the Internet are encrypted using SSL technology.
- Triple layers of physical storage security: First, encrypted data is stored in our state-of-the-art redundant data center. Second, our data center has 24 hour manned access security. Third, we use mirrored RAID servers to back up your backup.
- Data access security: because you set and maintain your encryption key, no one, include DataCentric personnel, can see or access your data unless you provide them the key.
- Additional disaster recovery protection: GuardIT’s web access feature provides access to your backed up files, from any internet connected PC. Using your encryption key, you can get to your data no matter where you are. So if your facilities are physically destroyed or you are prevented from getting to or using your office computers, you can still get to your data.
- Backups and restores are automatic, eliminating additional human data handling and possibilities of error, theft or vandalism.
- Detailed logs store information of each file backed up and restored, creating audit trails.
